At Len Roofing & Remodeling: Chicago roofing company, we take pride in our unparalleled customer satisfaction and make a strong effort to educate our customers on the best residential remodeling services and solutions during our home improvement and remodeling process. Below are frequently asked questions we have encountered, and urge you to contact us with any other questions or for more information

Q1. Is the removal and replacement of my roof a “loud” project?

A roofing company can be a noisy business. Our roofing contractors will be banging, hammering, etc throughout the process. Normal roofing installation hours are from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

Q2. What is done with the trees, bushes, flowers or shrubbery?

If you have low hanging branched over your driveway or roof, some trimming may be necessary. Our crews will cut back only those branches, which limit their ability to do an efficient job. If you have any bushes, flowers or shrubbery, which needs to be protected, please let us know. We can work together to take the proper precautions to keep your landscaping looking nice.

Q3. As a homeowner what can I do to prepare for the installation of the roof?

If you have any pictures or mirrors that are not firmly attached to the walls these items can fall. Also breakable items that are on shelves should be placed on the floor. We ask you to check these items to make sure they are secure. In addition, when removing the roof some debris may fall between your roof deck boards into your attic or open garage. We suggest you cover or remove any items that may need protection to avoid damage.

Q4. Where is the dumpster and material going to be placed?

Please let us know where you would like us staged ( where to place material, park trucks, and keep equipment ). Please keep in mind that everything we use needs to be as close to the house as possible. This will allow us to complete your roofing project in a timely manner. Please also ensure all loose animals are properly secured. Although we cannot be responsible for damage to your driveway, we will attempt to protect its surface.

Q5. What if my home has a satellite dish?

Any satellite dishes that are mounted directly through the roof may need to be moved to allow us to properly install your new roof. You may need to contact your satellite company to reset your dish. Lightning rod systems, weather vanes, or other miscellaneous non-roof related projections may require disassembly/reinstallation. We will attempt to re-install these items as best as possible, but cannot guarantee complete restoration to their original condition.

Q6. How much does it cost to replace a roof?

he roof replacement price can fluctuate depending on many factors, including:

  • The size of the roof
  • Roof Material used
  • Pitch – steep roofs can take longer to install and materials to cover than a flat roof
Application type – how the roof is installed on your roof deck
  • Number of layers
  • Where you reside – the roofing materials and requirements by roofers can alter by region
  • The code requirements for your roof
  • If you have any adornments that need to be addressed during the installation
